He holds a PhD in Information and Knowledge Engineering from the University of Alcalá (UAH), Spain, with CUM LAUDE distinction, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Francisco Marroquín University (UFM), Guatemala. With several master's degrees in data analysis and visualization, university teaching, and e-learning production, his career in research and educational technology focuses on applying technology to improve learning, standing out in learning analytics, artificial intelligence in education, and digital skills. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and a researcher in the Complex Thinking Education for All project of the IRG-R4A interdisciplinary research group at the Institute for the Future of Education (IFE) of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. In addition, he is a member of the International Network of Science, Technology and Innovation of Guatemala (RedCTi), under the National Secretariat of Science and Technology (SENACYT).
