Researcher member of the Product Innovation Research Group and member of the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Reasoning for Complexity at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. He received his degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Tecnológico Nacional de México, Campus Ciudad-Hidalgo, Michoacán. His graduate studies were carried out at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he obtained a master's degree and a doctorate in Engineering Sciences with a concentration in Manufacturing Systems and Product Design, respectively. During his graduate studies, he was a visiting scholar at Tecnológico de Costa Rica and the University of California, Berkeley. His current research interests include product design, open innovation, entrepreneurship and educational innovation. He has co-authored several research articles, books and book chapters in the manufacturing and education sectors. He also has a patent granted in the field of micromachining. He is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers.
