She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Montreal (Polytechnique Montréal). She has a master's and bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Ciudad Madero. In both postgraduate courses, her work focused on the development of new polymeric materials reinforced with nanoparticles (nanocomposites) to improve mechanical and thermal properties. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the IRG-R4A interdisciplinary research group at the Institute for the Future of Education (IFE) of the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Monterrey campus). Her lines of research focus on complex thinking and its sub-competencies, as well as on computational thinking and educational innovation.
