PhD in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the University of Salamanca. He coordinates the interdisciplinary research groups "Scaling reasoning for complexity for all" and the Educational Technology research unit, and "Educational Technology Unit", at the Institute for the Future of Education from Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico). He is Chair UNESCO "Open Educational Movement for Latin America" and of the International Council for Open and Distance Education "Open educational resources for Latin America". Level 3 researcher of the National System of Researchers of Mexico. His lines of research are educational innovation and open education. It focuses its activities on the revitalization of educational initiatives, with innovation, research and a global sense, as a means of transformation and social impact for lifelong learning and sustainable development.
